Accessing the Samsung Installer Menu

How to access the Installer Menu of your hospitality Samsung TV will Depend on the type of remote that came with your TV. If you have the remote with the numerical buttons you can access the installer menu by pressing:
Mute, 1, 1, 9, Enter/OK (The button in the center of the directional arrows).
If you have the remote without the numerical buttons you can access the installer menu by pressing:
Vol +/-, up, down, Enter/OK. The up and down are the top and the bottom of the circle surrounding the center Enter/OK button.
Performing a Factory Reset
Primary Reset
- While the TV is on, press mute,1,1,9, enter. This will pull up the installer menu for the Samsung TV. Once in the installer menu, select the “System Option” and then select “TV Reset.”
Secondary Reset
- While the TV is off, press mute,1,8,2, power. The TV will launch into a different installer menu. Select “Option” and then select “Factory Reset.”
Mapping Samsung RF TV’s
- In order to map a Samsung TV, perform a channel scan and create the map using one of the property’s TVs. After you have done this, you will be able to export the map to a USB drive and clone it onto the remaining TVs.
- After you have created the map, navigate to the cloning menu by turning the TV on and pressing mute,1,1,9, enter. Select “Cloning” in the new menu, then select “Clone TV to USB.”
- This will put the map from the TV you are working on onto a USB. If you select “Clone USB to TV”, the TV will map itself to the map you have put onto the USB.
Mapping Samsung IP TV’s
When doing IP TV on a Samsung TV you will need to create a map using a Samsung Reach server. Once the map has been created you can load it to a thumb drive and then use the instructions below
- Plug USB drive with mapping file into TV.
- Go through basic setup such as language, time, etc.
- On the TV Installation page, select Cloning mode option.
- On the Select Solution page, select LYNK CMS (REACH) option.
- Select IP SERVER and enter room and server info.
- Go through network connection info if applicable, skip if not.
- On Clone Settings, select Clone from USB, the file should load and restart the TV. Do not turn off.
- Flip through channels and verify content is playing
Manual Channel Set Up Instructions
- Press Mute 1, 1, 9, enter,
- Change your hospitality mode to “stand alone”
- Hit the “return” key on samsung remote
- Scroll to “channel” option
- Turn your “Dynamic SI” off
- Hit the “return” key on samsung remote
- Go to channel set up (Select air/cable/other source)
- Auto program channels (Select “SCAN”)
- When programming is done turn display off and on
Manual Channel Mapping Instructions
- Press Mute 1, 1, 9, enter,
- Go to the <channel>option on the menu
- Make sure that Dynamic SI has been turned off. If this is not turned off then your scanned channels will not appear in the channel editor.
- Once Dynamic SI has been turned off navigate to the channel editor.
- Choose the appropriate channel(s) that you want the TV to display on certain channels.
- If a channel number is occupied by another station. For example, channel 5 has two different channel feeds (5-1 and 5-2) You must remove all stations or channel feeds from (channel 5) before you can assign the station you want to that specific channel number even if you want it to be just 5 with no subchannel.
**Note**
Some menus may be minimized. Press “Return” on the remote to expand the menu. To change source, use the left or right arrows on the remote. Hit the “Return” key on the Samsung remote.
