TotalVue Troubleshooting

Program Remote Control to TV (Automatic Programming Failed)

  1. Enable Settings for the puck in the TotalVue Radix portal.
  2. Press the Settings/Cogwheel button on the TotalVue remote control.
  3. Highlight “Remotes & accessories” and press OK.
  4. Highlight the connected remote control and press OK.
  5. Highlight “Change TV Setup” and press OK.
  6. Wait for the puck to fi nish scanning for devices.
  7. If the TV brand is detected:
    ● Test the volume and TV power button to ensure the TV is set up properly before proceeding.
    ● Highlight “Finish” and press OK.
    ● Press Home to return to using TotalVue.
  8. If the TV brand is NOT detected:
    ● From the “Set up TV with your remote?” screen, highlight “Next” and press OK.
    ● Highlight your TV brand from the available list and press OK.
    ● If your TV brand is not listed, highlight “Other” and press OK.
    ● Using the onscreen keyboard, search for your TV brand.
    ○ Note: Multiple options for the same brand name may be available and you may need to try more than one before fi nding success. (Example: Brand Name, Brand Name-Fire TV or Brand Name-Roku)
    ● Once a brand has been selected, highlight “Next” and press OK to test the remote.
    ● Press OK to test volume up.
    ○ If it worked, highlight “Yes” and press OK.
    ○ If it did not work, “Try Again” or “No” and press OK to start the testing process over.
    ○ Depending on the TV brand, prompts to test Mute and Info capabilities may appear after a successful volume test.
    ● Once your remote is successfully set up with the TV, highlight “Finish” and press OK.
    ● Press Home to return to using TotalVue.
  9. Please be sure to Disable Settings for the puck in the TotalVue portal when you are done.

Pair Remote Control to Puck

  1. If the TotalVue remote control is not currently paired to the puck, the screen will prompt the user to program the remote control:
  1. Press and hold down Mute and Back or Home and Back (depending on the remote control
    version) for 3 seconds to pair the remote control.
    ● Please note that you may need to attempt the pairing multiple times while pressing and holding Mute and Back for varying numbers of seconds (5 seconds, 7 seconds, etc.) before a successful pairing is achieved.
  2. Once the remote control is successfully paired, the TotalVue home screen will be displayed.
  3. Program the remote control to the TV, as needed.
    (NOTE: When pairing a replacement remote control to the puck, you may need to put the puck into pairing mode by pressing and holding down the button on the side of the puck for 3-5 seconds or until the pairing screen appears.)

Remote Control Factory Reset (Version 1/”Matterhorn” TotalVue Remote Control)

  1. In the event the remote control is not functioning properly, a factory reset may be required.
  2. To start, remove the battery cover from the back of the remote control.
  3. Slowly press down on the + end of the right battery to partially remove it and rest its edge
    against the lip of the battery holder as displayed below:
  1. Press and hold down Mute and TV Power for 3 seconds before pushing the battery back fully
    into its holder.
  2. Continue to hold down Mute and TV Power until the red LED light at the top of the remote
    control fl ashes 2 times, pauses and then fl ashes 4 times.
  3. Release Mute and TV Power.
  4. Place the battery cover onto the back of the remote control and slide it back into place.
  5. Pair the remote control, as prompted, and program the remote control to the TV, as needed.

Remote Control Factory Reset (Version 2/”Tatlow” TotalVue Remote Control)
● NOTE: Applies to the remote control version pictured below.

  1. In the event the remote control is not functioning properly, a factory reset may be required.
  2. To start, press and hold the Guide and 0 buttons simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds
    or until the red LED light at the top of the remote control fl ashes 2 times.
  3. Press 9, 8, 1, to reset the remote control.
  4. The red LED light will fl ash 5 times to indicate that the remote control has been reset.
  5. Pair the remote control, as prompted, and program the remote control to the TV, as needed.
